NEPHROLOGY & KIDNEY DISEASE
In 1995 the division of nephrology was started in the Arab Medical Center to provide care of patients with renal disease, hypertension, and renal transplantation. The Nephrology team consists of a division chief who is also Director of the Hemodialysis Unit and five outstanding nephrologists. The program is dedicated to excellent teaching in the context of superb clinical care. The dialysis unit is managed by a very experienced manager and six registered dialysis nurses and dialysis assistants.
Renal Hemodialysis
An out-patient dialysis unit was established to provide care for dialysis patients on a daily basis. With 14 beds in the Mezzanine floor the unit performs an average of 750 sessions per month under quality care and compassionate service for the dialysis patients.
