Managing Heart Attacks/ Acute Myocardial Infarctions (AMI):

Research shows that opening a blocked heart artery within 90 minutes of diagnosis provides the best chance for recovery. We at the AMC have a system that utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to provide the best possible care for heart attacks. Starting at our Emergency Department, our protocol aims to provide rapid diagnosis and treatment that can dramatically increase the chance for a good outcome. Once an acute MI is suspected, the cardiologist is contacted and the cardiac catheterization lab team is activated and is ready to start the procedure in matter of minutes.

Our Cardiology Center provides a full range of cardiovascular services including general cardiology; interventional cardiology; electrophysiology; cardiac catheterizations; coronary angiograms and interventions; structural heart interventions; peripheral angiograms and interventions; advanced heart failure care; circulatory assist devices; cardiac and vascular surgeries;arrhythmia ablations; CRT devices; and insertion of cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators.

Our cardiac catheterization lab; echocardiography/stress lab; and imaging units (MRI, CT, nuclear medicine) are equipped with state of the art technology. Catheterization Center

At the AMC we aim to improve the outcome of cardiovascular disease through early intervention. Because we are devoted to fostering unparalleled cardiovascular care, we give a special attention to our Cardiac Catheterization Unit. Cardiac catheterization (heart Cath.) is the insertion of a catheter into a chamber or vessel of the heart. This is done for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Simply put, we have the finest clinical teams and the best state-of-the-art equipment available to both diagnose cardiovascular disease and intervene.
