Quality & Patient Safety

At AMC we are focused on delivering patient care with high quality services, best practices, and positive outcomes. The Quality Department exhibits a central role between patients and the health care team. Our core purpose drives our Quality and Patient Safety Promise, which is to provide our patients with optimal clinical outcomes, while maintaining a high degree of patient safety and satisfaction. To fulfill our promise, we recognize the importance involving the patient in every decision and insuring their voice and feedback is heard throughout their treatment journey at AMC.

The Quality Department established a continuous quality improvement program (CQI) at AMC to benchmark AMC performance against international standards. We are currently HCAC and ISO accredited. We collect data on hospital-wide performance including patient outcomes, complications, length of stay and patient satisfaction. Information is freely shared with patients, care partners, physicians, and other caregivers. This allows us to refine and continuously improve the way health care is delivered and increasingly meet the needs of patients during and beyond their stay at AMC.
